Spicy Chettinad Egg Masala

Spicy Chettinad Egg Masala is a delicious Indian recipe served as a Side Dish to rice or chapathi. This recipe is made of masala based gravy and is popular in Chettinad area of Tamil Nadu.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 Egg
  • 1 large Onions
  • 2 medium Tomato
  • 1 Green chili
  • 1 tblsp Ginger and garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil ad needed
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard seed
  • 1/2 tsp Fennel seed
  • 1 Dry chili
  • Curry leaves small

Roast and Grind:

  • 1 tsp Jeera
  • 1 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 1 Cloves and cinnamon
  • 4 Red chili
  • 2 tblsp Coriander seed
  • 1 tsp Poppy seed
  • 4 Cashew nuts
  • 3 tblsp Coconut

Instructions
 

  • Roast all ingerdients one by one in same pan with some oil
  • Allow to cool for few mins and grind paste
  • Make paste of tomato and green chili and keep aside
  • Boiled hard eggs and slit into side add to pan with oil
  • Add turmeric red chili powder and salt and fry for few min to coat all in egg
  • In same pan add more oil and temper all seasonings
  • Add onions and saute and add ginger and garlic paste
  • Add tomato paste and fry for 5 mins
  • Add Grind paste mix well and cook for few mins and add water to cook all masala well.
  • Now add eggs and coriander leaves and swtich off the flame
  • Now spicy chettinad egg masala ready..
