- For the Marinade: 
- Marinate the chicken with + tbsp of oil, + tsp of turmeric, + tsp of red chili powder and salt and keep 
- aside. 
- For the Garam Masala Powder: 
- Dry roast 2 green cardamoms,1 black cardamom, 3 cloves, + tsp cumin, + tsp coriander seeds, 8 whole black pepper corns, 2-3 whole red chilies, 1 bay leaf. Cool and grind to a fine powder. 
- For the Hara Masala: 
- Grind a large hand-full of coriander with 3-4 green chilies, 1 tsp garlic, ginger paste, and salt to a fine paste. 
- Heat the oil and fry the onions till light brown in color. 
- Add the hara masala paste, garam masala powder, and haldi powder to it. Add a little water. 
- Cook on a low flame till the oil begins to separate from the masala, 
- Add the marinated chicken. Saute everything together, add + cup water and salt to taste. Cook covered on a low flame, around 5 - 7 minutes or till the chicken is tender. 
- Serve garnished with fresh coriander.
