Thengai Podi - Brahmin Special
Fried urad dal, fried coconut and other ingredients are mixed together and powdered

- 1 1/2 cup Coconut grated
- 4 tbsp Urad dal
- 8 nos Red chillies
- Tamarind About 3/4 size of lemon
- 1 pinch Asafoetida Kayam
- 1 tsp Jaggery powder Sharkara
- 3 tbsp Coconut oil
- Salt As reqd
- For preparing thengai podi - brahmin special, first fry urad dal and red chillies for a few minutes in coconut oil. 
- Fry grated coconut separately in coconut oil till it becomes brown in color. 
- Grind the 1st and 2nd step together by adding tamarind, powdered jaggery, salt and asafoetida. 
- After grinding, mix it well. 
- Thengai podi - brahmin special recipe is ready. Can be used as side dish with dosa, curd rice etc.
