- wash and soak the wheat rice in water for 1/2 hour 
- chop the onion. red chili , green chili and carrot 
- in a cooker heat the oil and ghee and temper the mustard, broken urad dal and bengal gram 
- add onion, red chili and green chili, mint leaves and saute it until the onion turn into brown 
- add chopped tomato and mix well 
- add ginger garlic paste and mix well 
- add turmeric powder, sambar masala and salt and mix well 
- add carrot and mix it and allow to cook for 5 mins 
- now add water for 200 gm wheat rice add 500 gram water and allow to boil ( 1:2.5 ratio) 
- once the water boiled add soaked wheat rice and mix well, after two mins keep in pressure and allow for 1 whistle 
- now wheat rice briyani is ready, garnish with coriander leaves and cashews. serve with chutney
