Cook dhal by adding a pinch of turmeric powder and salt in enough water.
Take a blender and crush shallots, green chilly and curry leaves.
Add it into the thinly sliced cabbage. Add grated coconut also.
Add turmeric powder and salt as required. Mix well.
Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds and add some curry leaves.
Add the cabbage mix and combine well. Cover and cook for 6-7 minutes on medium flame. Stir occasionally.
When the cabbage is well cooked, add the cooked dhal .
Combine well and cook for another 2 minutes. Remove from the flame.
Serve along with steamed rice. Enjoy!
