- 1 Cup Wheat flour
- 1 Tbsp Oil
- 1 Cup Grated coconut
- Hot water as required
- Salt As reqd
Dry roast the wheat flour on medium flame for one minute.
Transfer to a bowl and add salt as required.
Heat water to a boil. Pour hot water over it.
Mix well. Once it starts to come together, cover the bowl with a lid and let it sit for 15 mins.
After 15 mins, add a teaspoon of oil and mix with hand into a soft dough.
Now take your string hopper maker and fill it with the dough. Take banana leaves add some grated coconut.
Spin the string maker so that you will get the dough as threads over it.
Steam it for 8 to10 minutes.
Remove and serve along with veg or non veg curries.
