Ingredients
- Masoor dal(Parippu) - 1 cup
- Red gram(Thuvaraparippu) - 1/2 cup
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Chilly powder - 1 tsp
- Onions(chopped) - 2 nos
- Green chillies - 2 nos
- Tomato - 2 nos
- Garlic pods(optional)(chopped) - 2 -
- Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) - 1/2 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander leaves -
- Curry leaves -
- Oil - 2 tbsp

Instructions
- Cook both the dals with turmeric powder, salt and enough water.
- When done, mash them well.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Splutter mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
- Add chilly powder, green chillies, onions, curry leaves, garlic and tomatoes.
- Add coriander leaves and fry.
- Add the above into the dal mixture and mix well.
- :- Serve with chappathis or rice.
