- Leftover Boiled Rice - 1 cup
- Leftover cooked and smashed dal(thoor and moong dal) - 3/4 cup
- Onion - 1
- garlic - 4 to
- Saunf powder - 1 or
- Chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
- Biriyani Masala Powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt(to taste) -
- Jeera - 1/2 teaspoon
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
- Urad dal - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chillies - 3
- Oil - 2 Tablespoon

Instructions
- For preparing Dal Masala Rice, take a pan, heat oil and splutter mustard seeds.
- When the mustard seeds start crackling, add jeera, urad dal and red chillies one by one.
- Add saunf powder and cook for 3 minutes. Then add cooked dal mixture to this.
- Add chilli powder, Biriyani masala powder and salt and cook them till the raw smell goes.
- When the dal gets blended with the spices, add the rice and cook for another five minutes. Switch off the flame.
- Nice Dal Masala Rice is ready.
