Pani Puri Masala

Pani Puri Masala is a delicious dish, a variant from the usual water pani puri. Masala gravy is used as filling in this dish. Pani Puri Masala is a great snack for kids when they arrive from school. Keeping new comers and bachelors in mind, Pani Puri Masala is well narrated in meaningful simple sentences. Small round crispy puris are drenched in mint flavored spicy potato gravy. Preparing Pani Puri Masala at home is a healthier way of enjoying the lip smacking dish. Mashed potato mixture is blended with chat masala and other spicy ingredients. Chopped pudhina is sprinkled over the thick masala gravy. Crispy puris are arranged in a serving plate and the masala gravy is poured over them. Garnish Pani Puri Masala with finely chopped onion, carrot and other ingredients.

Ingredients
  

For gravy:

For garnishing:

  • Carrot (grated)
  • 1/2 Tomato chopped finely
  • 3 nos Onion chopped finely
  • Coriander leaves chopped finely

Instructions
 

  • Cook peas & potato together in a pressure cooker along with some water & salt.
  • Mash it well to make it as thick as a paste.
  • Add spices, turmeric powder, chilly powder, chat masala and nutmeg powder and bring it to boil.
  • Add the cornflour mixed with 1/4 cup of water into the gravy to make it thicker.
  • Add some pudina & curry leaves & switch off the flame.
  • Mix together the ingredients for making pooris and knead them to make a smooth dough.
  • Make big balls of the above dough and roll them out as for pooris.
  • Using inverted glass or caps of bottles, press them over the big poori to make smaller ones.
  • Make 4 or 5 from the bigger poori dough & fry it in the oil.
  • Arrange the pooris first on a serving plate.
  • Pour some gravy over it.
  • Garnish with the above given ingredients by speading over the pooris.
  • :- Pani Puri Masala is ready. Enjoy the pani puri masala.
  • Children will love this pani puri masala as evening snack.

    thiz iz south indian version of north recipe…i had thiz in stalls ..thiz iz actually masal puri but in tamilnadu they`ll call it as pani poori….nice to taste

    Gravy is the filling and the Puri is the main.
    But where is the receipe for pani (water) for the pani puri.
