  • 1 cup Rice powder
  • 2 tsp Chilly Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Sesame seeds Ellu
  • 1/4 tsp Asafoetida powder Kayaam
  • 5 nos Pappadam
  • Salt As reqd


  • For preparing pappada vada, make a paste by mixing rice powder, salt, chilly powder, asafoetida and sesame seeds with required water.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan, dip pappadam in the above mixture and put into hot oil.
  • Press frequently to get crispy pappadams. Fry till it become a golden brown.
  • Pappada vada is ready. Serve as a snack.
