Tomato Thiyyal Kerala Thakkali Thiyyal 3 nos TomatoGrated coconut 2 tbsp Coriandar powder1 tbsp Chilly powder2 tbsp Coconut oilSalt (As reqd)Tamarind (soaked in 1/2 cup of water, Puli)Turmeric powder (A pinch)For seasoning:1 tsp Mustard seeds2 nos Small onions (Kunjulli)Curry leaves (A few)2 nos Dry red chillies (Kollamulaku) Fry the grated coconut using little oil on a low flame till it becomes golden brown in colour.Add chilly powder and corriander powder and fry until you get a good aroma.Grind it to a fine paste.Heat up another pan.Fry the tomato pieces in a little oil.Add turmeric powder and continue frying.Add some tamarind solution and allow it to boil.Add enough salt too.Finally add the coconut paste and stir well.Allow it to boil.Season the dish with FRIED(fry the seeds well before seasoning)mustard seeds, chopped small onions, dry red chilly and curry leaves.:- Serve this either as a side dish or as a main dish.:- Wish u good luck!!
