  • 6 nos Boiled potatoes
  • 2 tbsp Bread crumbs
  • 1 no Onion finely chopped
  • Green chillies finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves finely chopped
  • 2 tsp Red chilly powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Chat masala/amchoor powder
  • Roasted goundnuts slightly ground, Nelakadala
  • Refined oil for shallow frying
  • Salt As reqd


  • Pressure cook the potatoes unto four whistles. After cooling, crush the potatoes gently.
  • Add bread crumbs, green chillies, onions, coriander leaves, chilly powder, turmeric powder, roasted groundnuts, salt and chat masala.
  • Mix them together, till they get blended well.
  • Make small balls of the above mixture and flatten them a bit.
  • Heat a little oil in a pan.
  • Put the above tikkis into the oil and shallow fry, till they become golden brown and crispy.
  • :- Serve with coriander chutney.
  • For preparing corriander chutney: Take a handful of fresh coriander leaves, one medium sized onion, 4-5 garlic cloves, one green chilly, half spoon roasted jeera, amchoor powder and salt to taste. Add the desired amount of water to the above ingredients and grind them into a fine paste .
