Bread Cutlet - North Indian Style

Cutlets made with bread and without using egg

  • 10 - Bread slices
  • 2 nos Onions finely chopped, big
  • 3 - Green chillies finely ground
  • 1 - Curd
  • 1 tsp Chilly powder
  • Salt As reqd
  • Oil for frying


  • Cut the crust of the bread on all 4 sides and break it up into small pieces.
  • Mix together onions, green chilly paste, curd, chilly powder and salt.
  • Mix the bread with the above paste so that all ingredients are mixed well.
  • Make small flattened balls as in cutlets in any desired shape.
  • Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Deep fry on both sides, until golden brown.
  • :- Serve hot with tomato sauce.
  • :- Can include shredded chicken or fish for non-vegetarians.
