  • 3 nos Red Onion medium
  • 3-4 Green hot chillies sliced diagonally, small
  • 2 nos Lemon medium
  • Salt As reqd


  • Add salt to the sliced chillies.
  • Add some sliced onion and mix well. Use a spoon or hand to squeeze the juices out of the chillies. This works well when mixed with salt.
  • Squeeze the juices out of some (about 1 Tbsp) onion slices.
  • Mix in the rest of the onion.
  • Add the lime juice and mix well.
  • Allow it to stand covered for 10-15 minutes.
  • Note: Amount of chillies may be increased or decreased depending upon your need.
