- Cheppa kizhangu ( taro root ) 100g -
- coconut 2 pieces -
- small onion 4 no. -
- red chili 6 no. -
- garlic 3 no. -
- fennel seed 1/2 tsp -
- Salt to taste -
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp -
- Oil : as required -

Instructions
- chop into small pieces
- make a paste with coconut, fennel seed, garlic, onion, red chili, salt and turmeric powder
- in a kadai or pan heat the oil and the masala paste and mix well
- add chopped cheppa kizhangu and mix well
- add oil if required and fry well until the masala get cooked well in medium flame
- cheppa kizhangu varuval is ready
