Egg Thokku

Simple egg curry

  • 4 nos Boiled eggs cut into half
  • 2 nos Onions finely chopped, medium
  • 2 nos Tomato sliced, small
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp Chilly powder
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1 cup Water


  • Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Add onions and saute, till they turn golden brown.
  • Add tomatoes and fry, till the tomatoes become tender.
  • Add turmeric powder, chilly powder and salt and stir well.
  • Fry for 2 mins.
  • Add a cup of water and mix well.
  • Slip in the eggs.
  • Allow it to boil.
  • Remove from the flame, when the water dries up completely.

    Tried it last night and wowwwwww……it tasted very good. It was so simple to make it too. I garnished it with some coriander leaves.
