  • 2 nos Eggs
  • 2 nos Onions medium
  • 1 tsp Eastern chicken masala
  • 1/2 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1 tbsp Tomato ketchup or sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • Salt As reqd


  • Boil eggs and make slits using a knife and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Splutter mustard seeds.
  • Add onions and saute, till they become tender.
  • Add masala, chilly powder, tomato ketchup and salt.
  • Add little water and mix well.
  • Cook for 5 mins or until gravy becomes thick.
  • Add eggs and mix well.
  • :- Serve with appam, chappathis, idiappams etc.

    i have not tried this recipe yet but i am planning to do so tomorrow as it looks yummy. i have one doubt- CAN I ADD ANY OTHER BRAND CHICKEN MASALA INSTEAD OF EASTERN CHICKEN MASALA?? PLS REPLY.

    I added a bit ginger and garlic .. it tasted gr8 .. and mixing small amount of corn starch in warm water will give thicker gravy …
