Kothamalli (Coriander Leaves) Rice

Here is a very simple and quick rice recipe with fresh coriander leaves. You do not need much ingredients to prepare this flavorful rice.

  • boiled rice 1cup
  • coriander leaves 1cup
  • green chili 2 no.
  • red chili 2 no.
  • tamarind small piece
  • urad dal 2 tsp
  • oil 2 tsp
  • mustard 1/2 tsp


  • boil the rice
  • clean and wash the coriander leaves, and take green chili, red chili, tamarind, urad dal
  • heat the 1 tsp of oil and fry the urad dal
  • add green chili, red chili and tamarind and fry it
  • add coriander leaves and fry it
  • add salt and allow to cool
  • grind it and make as paste
  • now again heat the oil and temper the mustard
  • now add coriander paste and allow to cook for 5 mins in medium flame
  • add rice and mix well
  • kothamalli rice is ready
