- Ridge Gourd 1 cup -

- red chili 1 no. -
- curry leaves 6 no. -
- crystal salt to taste -
- sambhar powder 1 tsp -
- Oil : 3 tsp -
- urad dal 1/2 tsp -
- Mustard : 1 tsp -
- bengal gram 1/2 tsp -
- Grated Coconut : ¼ Cup -

- peel the skin and chop the ridge gourd
- in a pan heat the oil and temper the mustard, broken urad dal
- add onion, curry leaves and red chili and saute it
- ridge gourd poriyal is ready to serve
