Puliyodharai is a famous rice item prepared in all South Indian household. That too Srirangam Puliyodharai is famous in tamil nadu, every one will love to have once they go to srinrangam, trichy.

  • Tamarind pulp 2 cup
  • oil 5 tb sp
  • mustard 1 tsp
  • broken urad dal 1 tsp
  • bengal gram 3 tsp
  • fenugreek seed 2 tsp
  • ground nut 1/


  • heat the oil in the pan and temper the mustard, broken urad dal and bengal gram
  • add fenugreek and roasted groundnut and saute it
  • add curry leaves and red chili and mix it
  • add turmeric powder and mix it
  • now add tamarind pulp and mix well
  • add two glass of water and allow to cook
  • in pan dry fry the coriander seed, cumin seed, fenugreek seed, sesame seed, broken urad dal and fry it
  • add red chili and mix it
  • grind it and make it fine powder
  • add salt to the tamarind gravy and mix it and allow to cook until it get thick paste
  • now add the masala power and mix it and turn off the flame
  • mix with boiled rice.
  • now srirangam puliyodhari is ready to serve.
