- Bengal gram(soak overnight, kadala) - 3 cup
- Grated Coconut - 1 cup
- Tomato - 1
- Onion - 1
- Green chilly - 2
- Chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Coriander powder - 3 tsp
- Curry leaves(few) -
- Salt(as required) -
- Water(as required) -

- Take a pressure cooker and add bengal gram,tomato,onion,green chilly,red chilly powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder,salt and water as required.
- When the kadala is well cooked add roasted coconut paste into it
- Add curry leaves, bring it to boil and remove from the flame.
- Varutharacha kadala curry is ready to serve.
