 In ayurveda, plant provides remedy for vitiated pitta, hyperdipsia, arthritis, burning sensation, migraine and general weakness.

CULINERY AND OTHER VALUES :

 Source of kithul treacle, a liquid jaggery.The sap is fermented to produce toddy, which when distilled, produces the spirit termed ‘arrack’.
