  • Soak the chick peas in water overnight.
  • Boil them with the required amount of salt. Drain the water and keep them aside.
  • Grind the coconut powder, roasted gram, kandankathiri powder, red chilli powder together with a pinch of salt and some water.
  • Heat small amount of oil in the pan.
  • Splutter the seasoning ingredients.
  • Add the chick peas and stir well.
  • Add the ground paste to it and cook for 5 mins.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Note: Kandankathiri is Solanum Xanthocarpum. It is optional. We can use dried mango powder or any powder according to our taste.
