Chick Peas Masala Easy & tasty evening dish 1 1/2 cups Chick peas (Kabuli kadala)1/4 cup Coconut powder2 tbsp Roasted gram2 tsp Kandankathiri powder1 tsp Red chilli powderSalt (As reqd)Coriander leaves for garnishingFor seasoning:OilMustard seedsBlack gram(Uzhunnuparippu) Cumin seeds(Jeerakam)Asafoetida(Kayam) Soak the chick peas in water overnight.Boil them with the required amount of salt. Drain the water and keep them aside.Grind the coconut powder, roasted gram, kandankathiri powder, red chilli powder together with a pinch of salt and some water.Heat small amount of oil in the pan.Splutter the seasoning ingredients.Add the chick peas and stir well.Add the ground paste to it and cook for 5 mins.Garnish with coriander leaves.Note: Kandankathiri is Solanum Xanthocarpum.
