Chicken Thoran - A Traditional Dish A traditional dry chicken dish. Delicious to have with rice or chapathi 500 gms Chicken (cut into small cubes)2 nos Onions2 tsp Ginger & Garlic (grinded little)1 tsp Mustard seedsCurry leaves (few)2 tsp Coriander powder1 tsp Chilli powder2 nos Red chilli (whole)1/2 tsp Garam masala powder1/2 tsp Turmeric powder1 cup Coconut (grated)2 tbsp Coconut oilSalt (as reqd) Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds & allow it to splutter. Add curry leaves & red chillies. Add onions, ginger & garlic and saute until brown in colour. Add chicken, required salt and saute for 5 mins. Close the lid and allow it to cook for 10-15 minutes. Mix grated coconut, coriander, turmeric, chilli, garam masala powder and add to the chicken.Close lid and cook for some more time. :- Serve hot!!!Note:- Do not grind the ginger & garlic to fine paste.
