Chicken Thoran - A Traditional Dish

A traditional dry chicken dish. Delicious to have with rice or chapathi

  • Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds & allow it to splutter.
  • Add curry leaves & red chillies.
  • Add onions, ginger & garlic and saute until brown in colour.
  • Add chicken, required salt and saute for 5 mins.
  • Close the lid and allow it to cook for 10-15 minutes.
  • Mix grated coconut, coriander, turmeric, chilli, garam masala powder and add to the chicken.
  • Close lid and cook for some more time.
  • :- Serve hot!!!
  • Note:- Do not grind the ginger & garlic to fine paste.
