Kannada Style Rava Uppumavu

This is a healthy break fast for kids and adults.

  • 1 glass Rava
  • 1 nos Onion
  • 1 nos Tomato
  • 1 tsp Mustard
  • 5 nos Curry leaf
  • 4 Green chilli
  • 2 glass Water
  • 1 tsp Salt


  • Heat oil in a kadai add mustard seeds.When mustard splutters add green chilli and onion saute for 2 minutes.
  • Add tomatoes and saute for 2 minutes until it becomes soft.
  • Add 2 glass of water and salt and boil for 5 minutes.
  • When water gets boiled add roasted rava and stir for 3 minutes.We have to stir continuously.
  • When water becomes full dries up we can take uppma and serve hot.
  • Now we can serve kannada style rava uppumavu with mixture
