Ingredients
- Bittergourd - 3 nos
- Onion - 2 nos
- Ginger(garlic paste - 1 tsp) -
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
- Chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Tomato(optional) - 1 no
- Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Water - ½ cup
- Oil - 1 tbsp

Instructions
- Cut the bittergourd into small pieces.
- Heat oil in a kadai.
- Add chopped onion and saute till it turns soft.
- Add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt and saute well.
- Add chopped bittergourd pieces. Mix well.
- Add enough water to cook the bittergourd. Stir well.
- Pour the tamarind pulp into the pan.
- Cover and cook on a low flame till a thick gravy is formed.
- Open the lid and stir well.
