Instructions

  • Method: For preparing the delicious fish fry, first clean the fish pieces and smear them with yogurt to get rid of fishy smell. Mix well all other ingredients and marinate the fish. Keep aside at least for 2 hours. Fry in coconut oil or grill it.
  • For Baking/Grilling: Sauté 1 onion sliced lengthwise, 1 tomato sliced lengthwise and 2 green Chilli. When it turns golden brown, add 1 pinch red Chilli powder and salt. Spread this masala either on plantain leaf or aluminium foil and place the fried fish on it. It may either be grilled or baked in a pan without oil.

Notes

Foot Note:- Always use big fish like pearl fish( karemeen) Pomfrt or King fish to grill. Baking them in banana leaf is considered to be best and tastier. Marinating the fish in lime juice or curd after washing and cleaning the fish, will take away the smell as well as soften the fish too.
