Ingredients
- Kovakka(Gherkins) - 200 g
- Coconut - 1/4 of
- Small onions(Kunjulli) - 1/2 cup
- Green chillies - 5 nos
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Small onions(finely chopped for seasoning) - 3 –
- Curry leaves(Few) -
- Dry red chillies – 2(Kollamulaku) - 3 nos
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Coconut oil - 3 tbsp

Instructions
- For preparing, clean the kovakka well and cut them into small pieces.
- Add to it the finely chopped small onions, green chillies, salt and turmeric powder.
- Place it in a vessel along with 1/2 glass of water and allow it to cook.
- Pound together the grated coconut and curry leaves in a mixer bowl.
- Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
- Splutter mustard seeds and saute finely chopped small onions, dry red chillies and curry leaves.
- Add the cooked kovakka and the coconut mixture and mix well.
- Cook further, till done.

If you add a teaspoon of dhania powder to the coconut mixture, its good.
