- Kovakkai(Ivy gourd) - 20 Nos
- Sambar powder - 3 –
- Salt(To taste) -
- Coconut/Refined Oil(As required to fry the Kovakkai) -

Instructions
- Clean, Wash and cut the Kovakkai (Ivy gourd) in round shape (as shown in above picture).
- Add Sambar Powder and Salt into the Kovakkai pieces and mix it well and keep it aside to coat the masala on the pieces properly.
- Heat Oil in a frying pan/Cheenachatty. Then put the masala (prepared with Sambar Powder and Salt) coated Kovakkai (Ivy gourd) pieces into the hot Oil and stir it occasionally.
- When the colour of Kovakkai pieces turns into brown, take the pieces out from the frying pan/Cheenachatty (by using a Sieve) and keep them in a plate and serve
