A tasty fish dish with coconut and other spices

- Sardine/Mathi - 1/2 kg
- Coconut(grated) - 1 cup
- Shallots(Kunjulli) - 6 nos
- Green chillies - 3 nos
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Chilly powder - 2 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves(Few) -
- Ginger - 1 small
- Coconut oil(As reqd) -
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Salt(As reqd) -

Instructions
- For preparing mathi peera fry, first clean fish and make slits. Crush roughly coconut, shallots, green chillies, chilly powder, coriander powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and curry leaves. Keep aside.
- Take out the fish and keep aside.
- In the same chatti, pour little oil and splutter mustard seeds. Add the crushed coconut mixture and fry.
- Add the fish pieces and cover it with lid and cook for sometime.
- When done remove from flame and pour little oil on top.
- Mathi peera fry is ready.
