Meen Mulakittathu-MW Meen curry in just 6 mins 4 thin King fish (Or Hamour fillet sliced into 1 inch wide slices)6 nos Small onions (finely chopped, Kunjulli)4 nos Garlic pods (finely chopped)4 nos Green chillies (cut diagonally into 4 pieces)Mustard seeds (A pinch)2 tbsp Olive Oil1 tsp Red chilly powder1/4 tsp Turmeric powder2 tbsp Tomato puree (if not available, use juice of 2 small red tomatoes)1 no Red chilly (Kollamulaku)1 1/2 tsp Salt5 nos Curry leaves Marinate the sliced and cleaned fish with turmeric, red chilly powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt for 10 mins.Take a microwave glass dish with lid and put olive oil, small onions, garlic, mustard seeds, curry leaves, red chilly and green chillies.Keep in the oven (Low) for 1 minute.Add fish and tomato puree and keep further for 5 mins. A very good recipe. Since I had never cooked fish in the microwave, the easiness of it with no sacrifice to taste really surprised me. Coconut oil might be a good substitute for olive oil for the naadan taste.thanks.
