  • For preparing Naadan Parippu Thakkali Curry, cook the Dal in pressure cooker with salt and turmeric powder, upto 3 whistles. Mash it and keep it aside.
  • Splutter the mustard seeds in a frying pan in the oil.
  • Add the curry leaves.
  • Now add the finely chopped onion and green chillies and saute till the colour of onion changes.
  • Add the crushed chilly to this and saute for about 1 min.
  • Now add chopped tomatoes to this and saute till the oil appears on top.
  • Add this to the mashed dal and add water(if there is enough water don`t add more). Bring it to boil.
  • Adjust the salt and chilly before it boils. Remove from heat and serve Naadan Parippu Thakkali Curry hot with rice.
