One of the blessing of life on malabar coast is that we get to enjoy fresh seafood. Fresh seafood and fish cooked in clay pot gives a different taste that i can't explain. Nadan chemmeen mulakittathu is one of like that traditional prawn recipe which is quiet spicy and hot. The people who love spice will surely love this recipe. Instructions
  1. Take all the ingredients and keep it ready.

  2. Clean prawns and add chilly powder,turmeric powder,salt and water as required.

  3. Soak tamarind in hot water for 5 minutes.

  4. Heat oil,splutter mustard seed and fenugreek seed and add shallots,onion and saute until golden brown in color.

  5. Add tomato,green chilly and curry leaves.

  6. Saute for 5 minutes.

  7. Add prawns along with masala water and tamarind water

  8. Bring it to boil and cook for 10-15 minutes.
