  • Aloo 1 cup
  • Rice flour : 1 cup
  • Green chili 3 no.
  • Garlic 6 to 7 no.
  • Salt to taste
  • asafoetida 1 tsp
  • white sesame seed 1 tsp
  • Butter : 2 tsp
  • Ajwain / omam seed 1 tsp
  • water 1 glass
  • Oil to fry


  • For preparing the tasty snack, first peel the aloo and boil it by adding salt and water in a pressure cooker and allow for 2 whistles.
  • In a mixi jar make a paste of green chilli and garlic.
  • Smash the aloo and make ready of other ingredients, rice flour, salt, asafoetida, omam seed, butter, green chili paste, sesame seeds
  • in a bowl add all the ingredients, smashed potatoes, green chili paste, asafoetida, omam seed, sesame seed, butter and rice flour.
  • Add water and make a dough.
  • Take some from dough and keep in murukku press with the plate single star hole. Press and make shapes.
  • Heat the oil in high flame and cook the murukku.
  • Potato garlic murukku is ready. This is a tasty snack, delicious and flavorful and you will relish to the last bite.
