Sesame Oil Black Pepper Chicken

  • chicken (sliced into small pieces) 1kg
  • sesame oil 4 tablespoon
  • oyster sauce 4 tablespoon
  • cinnamon 1
  • garlic (sliced finely)* 6
  • garlic (sliced finely)* 6
  • tomato (sliced finely) 1
  • thick soy sauce 4 tablespoon
  • ground black pepper 1 tablespoon
  • Half cube chicken cube (optional)
  • Scallion
  • Corn starch/flour (optional)
  • Salt to taste


  • Heat the pan and add the sesame oil
  • Sauté garlic, ginger, cinnamon and tomato
  • After 2 minutes, add chicken, oyster sauce, black pepper, soy sauce, chicken cube and salt
  • Let it simmer for 20 minutes
  • After 20 minutes, check the consistency of the gravy and salt
  • If you need a thicker gravy, mix one table spoon corn starch/flour into 1 cup of water and pour on your chicken
  • Serve with scallion dashed on chicken


Do not blend or smash the garlic and ginger. Its has to be sliced finely.
