Instructions Wash and soak the matta rice in water for about 4-5 hours. Strain it in a siever. After half an hour grind it to make a fine powder. Mix salt in one glass of water. 5)Mix the put powder by sprinkling water. Keep it for 5 minutes. Make puttu using puttu kutti by layering grated coconut in between as and when required. Steam for 3 minutes. :- Remove and serve hot with stew or kadala curry. :- The specialty of this puttu is u need not heat the puttu powder as we do for making the usual puttu!!
