  • Wash and soak the matta rice in water for about 4-5 hours.
  • Strain it in a siever.
  • After half an hour grind it to make a fine powder.
  • Mix salt in one glass of water. 5)Mix the put powder by sprinkling water.
  • Keep it for 5 minutes.
  • Make puttu using puttu kutti by layering grated coconut in between as and when required.
  • Steam for 3 minutes.
  • :- Remove and serve hot with stew or kadala curry.
  • :- The specialty of this puttu is u need not heat the puttu powder as we do for making the usual puttu!!
