  • Rice flour : 2 cup -
  • Grated Coconut : 1 Cup -
  • Salt to taste -
  • Sugar / Jaggery powder (only for making sweet Ada) : as reqd -
  • Plantain leaves : some -

Instructions
  1. Mix the rice flour with water (preferably hot water) and salt and make a dough of it.

  2. Take some of the dough and put it in the plantain leaf and spread it within the leaf by applying some coconut oil / ghee / water on the palm.

  3. Then put some grated coconut on half part of the spreaded dough .(if need sweet ada, then add some sugar / jaggery powder on top of the coconut)

  4. Fold the leaf as shown in the below picture.

  5. Heat the dosa making stone or frying pan and place the folded plantain leaf containing the dough, on it and cook it in low flame.

  6. After about 5 to 10 minutes, turn the ada to other side and cook it further and when both side of the ada is cooked well take it out from the stone / pan.

  7. Take the ada from the leaf and change it into a plate / casserole.

  8. This ada can be served with morning / evening tea as tiffin.
