Spicy Aloo Bonda

Spicy Aloo Bonda is deep fried savory appetizer made with spicy potato mix. When they are serve hot they are crispy outside and soft inside. This is a very popular street food in Mumbai. this recipe is more hot and crunchy in Rainy and winter season

Ingredients
  

  • Boiled aloo 3 no.
  • onion 1 no.
  • green chili 1 no.
  • cumin seed 1/2 tsp
  • coriander leaves 1/2 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • lemon juice 1/4 tsp
  • oil 3 tsp
  • FOr batter
  • besan flour 1/2 cup
  • salt to taste
  • red chili powder 1 tsp
  • butter milk 1 glass

Instructions
 

  • Chop the onion and green chili
  • In a pan heat the oil and temper the cumin seed and saute the onion and green chili for 2 mins
  • add coriander leaves, salt and turmeric powder and mix well
  • add boiled potato and mash it
  • add red chili powder, chat masala and lemon juice and mix it
  • In another bowl add butter milk, salt, red chili powder and besan flour and make as a thick batter
  • make small ball in aloo and dip in the batter
  • heat the oil and deep fry it
  • now spicy, hot and crunchy aloo bonda is ready to serve
