- sundakka 1 cup -
- bengal gram 1/2 cup -
- small onion 1/2 cup -
- Garlic 4 no. -
- red chili powder 1/2 tsp -
- Salt to taste -
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp -
- Grated coconut : 1/2 cup -
- tamarind water 1/2 cup -

Instructions
- clean and wash the sundakka for 5 times
- in a pan boil the water and bengal gram
- once the bengal gram get cooked 3/4th add sundakka, salt, red chili powder and turmeric powder and mix well
- add tamarind water and 2 glass of water and allow to cook until the bengal gram and sundakka get cooked well
- add sugar and mix well
- add grated coconut,mix well and turn off the flame
- now sundakka poriyal is ready
