Tomato Curry Easy My mommy style. Fine, it`s Kerala style 3 nos Tomatoes (cut them in cubes)1 cup Grated coconut1 tsp Turmeric powder1 tbsp Cumin seeds (Jeerakam)2 cups Water3 tbsp Oil1 tbsp Mustard seeds2 nos Onion2 tsp Black pepper3 - Green chillies3 nos Garlic podsCurry leaves (A few)Salt (As reqd)2 cups Yoghurt Grind together coconut, 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder, cumin seeds, 1 onion and 1 cup of water into a smooth paste.In a pressure cooker, put the remaining onion, tomatoes, 3 garlic pods, green chillies, 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder and 1 cup of water and cook, till it is done.Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.Splutter mustard seeds.Add curry leaves, black pepper and all the above ingredients and bring it to a boil.Remove the pan from the heat.After a couple of minutes, pour the yoghurt.:- Make sure you pour the yoghurt when the ingredients are warm and not when it is hot.Add salt and mix well.Put the whole thing back on the heat and stir it till you see the steam and then turn it off.:- Don¦t let the curry boil after you pour the yoghurt.:- Serve it on rice.:- Let me know how it turned out. I didn`t use the preassure cooker, instead i mixed everything in the pan and still it turned out really delicious. It goes very well with rice.
