Vermicelli Milaga Bajji

This is a snack item with semiya called semiya bajji which is very crispy and yummy to taste. Children will surely like this and it is very easy to prepare also.

  • Vermicelli 1 cup
  • ooty mirchi 2 no.
  • aloo 3 no.
  • onion 1 no.
  • green chili 2 no.
  • red chili powder 1/4 tsp
  • asafoetida 1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • coriander leaves 2 tsp
  • oil to fry
  • for batter
  • besan flour 1 cup
  • maida 1 tsp
  • corn flour 1 tsp
  • rice flour 2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • red chili pwoder 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp


  • par boil the sevai
  • in a bowl add chopped onion, green chili, boiled and smashed aloo, red chili powder, salt, asafoetida, garam masala and vermiceli and mix well
  • in a bowl add besan flour, rice flour, maida, corn flour,red chili powder, salt, turmeric powder and water and make a thick batter
  • clean chilli and stuff sevai mix
  • dip in the batter
  • heat the oil and fry the sevai bajji
  • now sevai mirchi bajji is ready
