Eggs are so versatile, you can make lot of different dishes based on eggs and Yummy Egg Burji is one of them. Among eggetarians, scrambled egg is one of the easiest of dishes to cook in minimal time. Yummy Egg Burji is unique in taste and flavor with the just right and mild spicy touch. Eggs are perfect and rich in protein especially for growing up children. Check for fresh eggs by placing an egg in a bowl of water. Stale eggs float whereas fresh ones will stay intact at bottom. For chutney:

  • 1/2 cup Onion chopped, big
  • 1 no Red chilly(Kollamulaku) whole
  • Salt As reqd
  • Oil As reqd

For egg burji:

  • 2 tbsp Above chutney
  • 2 nos Eggs
  • Salt As reqd
  • Pepper As reqd
  • Oil As reqd


  • For preparing Yummy Egg Burji, first heat oil in a pan or kadai.
  • Add the whole chillies and the onions and fry, till the onions become glazy.
  • Remove from heat and let it cool.
  • After it has cooled, add salt and grind to a fine paste in the grinder for a few minutes.
  • :- Make sure the mixture is cool before grinding in the grinder. Otherwise, it could spoil the grinder.
  • Take the onion and chilly mixture from the grinder and keep aside.
  • :- This is a very yummy chutney by itself and you can serve with dosa or idli.
  • Take eggs and break into a bowl.
  • Add salt and pepper.
  • Add 2 tbsp of the above onion mixture and beat it well.
  • Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Add the egg mixture and scramble it with a fork.
  • When done, remove from the flame.
  • :- Serve Yummy Egg Burji hot with chappathis.
