Plums are known for their laxative effect. Regulates functioning of digestive system.
NUTRIENT VALUE :
Contains valuable minerals and vitamins. Amount of vitamin C which is present in the jujube fruit, is 20 times higher than it is in any other citrus fruits.
CULINERY AND OTHER VALUES :
The fresh fruit along with its candied version are eaten as snacks. It is often brewed into a tea. The fruit is also made into a wine and used as an ingredient in Chinese cuisine.
