Ingredients
- Amla 10 no. -
- oil 5 tsp -
- cumin seed 1/2 tsp -
- coriander seed 1/2 tsp -
- fenugreek seed 1/2 tsp -
- Red chili powder : 1 tsp -
- Salt : 1 tsp -
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp -
- asafoetida 1/2 tsp -
- jaggery 2 tsp -

- clean, wash the amla and remove the seed and cut it into small pieces
- make as crumbled by grinding it in mixi
- heat the oil in the pan
- add the crumbled amla and mix well
- Dry roast the cumin seed, coriander seed, and fenugreek seed and make as a powder
- add turmeric powder, asafoetida and the masala powder with amla and mix well
- add salt, red chili powder and mix well and allow to cook for 3 minutes
- add jaggery and mix well
- allow to cook until it becomes thokku consistency
- now amla thokku is ready to serve
