Andhra Prawns Fry Easy With Fresh Raw Ingredients Andhra style Prawns fried with spicy masala 1 lb PrawnsGinger (garlic paste - 3 tbsp)2 tbsp Chilly powderTurmeric powder (A pinch)1 tbsp Garam masala1 no Onion2 nos Chillies (small)1 no Bay leaf (optional, Karuga/Vazhana ela)Salt (As reqd)3 tbsp Oil2 nos Cloves (Grambu)1/2" stick Cinnamon (Karugapatta)2 nos Cardamom (Elakka)Coriander leaves (optional)For masala paste:-2 tbsp Coriander seeds1 tbsp Poppy seeds (Khashakhash)1" stick Cinnamon (Karugapatta)4 nos Cloves (Grambu)3 nos Cardamom (Elakka)2 nos Garlic podsFresh grated coconut (A handful) Wash the prawns well.Marinate them with ginger-garlic paste, chilly powder, turmeric powder, salt and 1/2 tbsp of garam masala for 30 mins.Fry all the ingredients listed in masala paste without oil for 5 mins and grind it with some water.Add some water into the mixture and let it boil on medium flame for abt 15 mins.:- If the prawns are of small size, 10 mins will be enough.Add the masala paste and a bay leaf after 8 - 9 mins.Boil, until it becomes a gravy but check whether the prawns are cooked.Heat oil in a pan.Add half inch of cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom, onion, chillies and saute, till they turn golden in color.Add cooked prawns with the gravy.Fry, until all the gravy is golden brown in color.Add 1/2 tbsp of garam masala powder and some coriander leaves, if needed.:- Serve Andhra Prawns Fry hot with rice or roti.
