Andhra Stuffed Capsicum

Capsicum stuffed with mashed potatoes

  • 2 nos Capsicum medium
  • 2 nos Potato small
  • 2 tsp Peanut powder roast the peanuts and grind it dry in the mixie
  • 2 tsp Sesame seeds roasted
  • Coriander leaves(chopped)
  • 1 tsp Red chilly powder
  • Salt As reqd
  • Oil for frying


  • Boil the potatoes by adding salt in the pressure cooker.
  • Cut the top of the capsicum (around the stem) and remove the seeds.
  • Sprinkle a litle salt on the inner surface of the capsicum and keep aside.
  • Mash the potatoes and add chilly powder, sesame seeds, coriander leaves, peanut powder and salt to it.
  • Mix all the ingredients.
  • Stuff the capsicums with the stuffing (mashed potato mix).
  • Fry in oil (do not deep fry).
  • :- Serve hot with rice and dal.
