- Bread - 3 slices
- Gram flour(Kadalamavu) - 1 cup
- Chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Salt - 1/2 tsp
- Asafoetida powder(Kayam) - 1/4 tsp
- Oil for frying -

Instructions
- Mix together gram flour, salt, chilli powder and asafoetida with water to make a loose batter.
- Cut the brown portions of the sides of the bread slices.
- Cut each slice of bread into four pieces.
- Dip each piece of bread into the batter and deep fry until it is fully cooked.
