Cuisine Kerala Prep Time 30 minutes Servings people MetricUS Imperial Ingredients Chakka varattiyathu(Jackfruit) - 3 tbsp Jaggery(medium size) - 5 pieces Coconut milk - 1/2 Packet Coconut(dry and chopped) - 1/2 cup Ghee - 2 tbsp Water - 1 cup Cuisine Kerala Prep Time 30 minutes Servings people MetricUS Imperial Ingredients Chakka varattiyathu(Jackfruit) - 3 tbsp Jaggery(medium size) - 5 pieces Coconut milk - 1/2 Packet Coconut(dry and chopped) - 1/2 cup Ghee - 2 tbsp Water - 1 cup Votes: 1 Rating: 4 You: Rate this recipe! Instructions Put jaggery in a sauce pan and add 1/4 Cup of water. boil it until it become a thick liquid. Put chakka varattiyathu, coconut milk and 3/4 cup of water in a mixer grinder and grind for 2 minutes. Add this to the sauce pan and stir well. Once it boil keep it in stove in a low flame for 3 minutes. Fry dry coconut in ghee and garnish the payasam. :- Stir well and serve once it is cool.
